Project guides

For only those using video presentations:
Here is the link to Screencast-O-Matic. You will need to download the recorder, so check with your parents.  Here is the tutorial on how to use it:  https://youtu.be/jADJ_OoSnm8

Using iMovie is a little harder, but it may be the only option on an iPad that you've used before (this is a YouTube channel that has other helpful tutorials, too)

Thinking aloud: in English class, you are looking at text features. How might that be helpful for your project display?

Today, do NOT print out your text boxes until you peer review, check your CAPITALIZATION and make sure you didn't plagiarize any of your text.

This one would need to be mounted onto a stand-alone board.

The one below is from a younger grade -- the information is too simple for your project, but the idea of the flip sections is pretty cool!

TODAY:  You may use the templates on the RIGHT side of this page (Did You Know & Take 5) to type up these sections of your project. If finished, you may create a new document to research the questions you came up with in class on Monday!

As a reminder, here is the Singapore example of the TAKE 5 section:
  • Location: Singapore is located latitude 1º 14´N and longitude 103º 55´E, at the tip of Malaysia and near Indonesia.
  • Place: The main island of Singapore is surrounded by 63 smaller islands, and most of the local people come from Malaysia, China, and India.
  • Human/Environment Interaction: The people of Singapore value their natural resources and have wildlife reserves, gardens, and marinas. Along the waterfront, their goal is to create a “city in a garden!” They also have the largest marine-life park in the world.
  • Movement: The people of Singapore come from many different regions, which is why it is such an “international” country. In addition, the port makes it possible for it to be a major worldtrading center.
  • Region: Since Singapore is in a tropical region; the weather is hot and sunny almost all year. There is heavy rain during the two monsoon seasons
