WJJMS Students on TeachITCT.org

Several weeks ago, some Beta students were filmed for the Connecticut Humanities new website "TeachIT."  This website is curating primary and secondary Connecticut sources that could be used in classrooms across the state. As of now, it is a soft launch with only three grades being featured. This is due to the new CT State Social Studies Frameworks for teaching social studies in classrooms. The three grade levels featured primarily focus on Connecticut, therefore teachers of these grade levels are looking for materials for their students.

For this filming, we modeled a grade 5 activity (one that none of our 6th graders did when in the 5th grade -- this is because the CT Social Studies Frameworks are NEW and the TeachIT site was just launched). For the students who participated, they know that we actually spent about 40 minutes working on this that day.
